Mandate The Committee is competent to examine and consider all petitions, complaints and proposals directed to Parliament and to alert the competent authorities of any violations of law and the rights of citizens in proceedings before the public administration and bodies vested with public authority.
Membership The Committee consists of deputies from all parliamentary parties and has 13 members.
Working methods At its sessions, the Committee considers individual cases of broader significance, takes stands thereon and notifies the competent authorities.
Relations with other parliamentary bodies The Committee occasionally works together with other parliamentary bodies. Once annually, the Committee submits a report on its work to the Croatian Parliament.
Relations with external bodies Depending on the topic being discussed, the Committee regularly invites representatives of the competent authorities to attend its sessions.
Subjects dealt with Problems tied to the return of displaced persons and refugees.
